EU INFORMATION     & SPECIAL EVENT STATIONS

9A - Special callsign 9A20V will be in use from Vukovar, Croatia until 21 November in remembrance of the tragic events of 20 years ago. Look for activity on 80-10 metres CW and SSB.

DL - Station event station DR16BENE has been active since July 1st, and will continue through October 31st.

HA - Commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Franz Liszt, the renowned Hungarian composer and virtuoso pianist, special event callsign HG200LST will be used between 1 January and 31 December 2011 by a group of operators from the city of Janoshalma.

I - Special callsign II4LXV will be in use until 31 December to celebrate the 65th anniversary of ARI Bologna.        

I - Special event callsign IR2LV will be in use between 27 August and 2 October to celebrate the 55th anniversary of ARI Vigevano

LX,  -  A group of German and Luxembourg operators will be active as LX8M between September 22-25th. Activity will be on 80-10 meters using CW, SSB and various Digital modes.

LY37 -  The following special event stations have been activated since August 31st, by the members of the Lithuanian Amateur Radio Society (Lietuvos Radijo Megeju Draugija - LRMD) and will continue to be on the air until September 18th. Activity is to celebrate the 37th European Men's Basketball Championship in Lithuania 

PG540 -  Look for special event stations PG540BUFFALO or PG540BUFFALO/J to be active between October 10th and November 3rd. Activity is to celebrate the friendship between the ham group "Project Groep .540" (in Kennemerland), and "The Buffalo's" (the scouting in Zandvoort). The bands/modes of activity were not provided.

UA - Commemorating the 300th anniversary ofthe birth of Russian scientist Mikhail V.Lomonosov, special station R300ML will be active from various  districts of Arkhangelsk Region between 1 September to 30 November.

EU IOTA INFORMATION

9A - Look for Silverio 9A/IK3IUL, Ampelio 9A/IK3JBP, Calogero 9A/IW3ILP  and Giacomo 9A/IZ3DBA to be active from Porer Island (EU-110) on 14-16 October. They will operate mainly  CW with some SSB on  80-10 metres.

9A – (EU-136). Dusan, S52DG, will be active as 9A/S52DG/P from Krk Island (CI-046), Croatia, September 22-25th. Activity will be on 160-10 meters using CW and SSB.

9H - Operators Tommy/DL8KX and Andy/DD8ZJ will be active as 9H3KX from Gozo Island (EU-023, MIA MM-004, WLOTA 0046) between October 8-14th. Activity will be on the HF bands using CW and SSB.

9H - Gab, HA3JB will be active as 9H3IP from Malta (EU-023) on 16-27 September. He will operate holiday style on 80-10 metres CW, RTTY, PSK31, SSTV and SSB.

EA6 - Adrian, AA5UK, will once again be active as EA6/AA5UK from Ibiza (EU-004, DIE E-023, MIA MB-003, WLOTA 0958, Grid Loc. JM09tb), between October 20th and November 3rd. Activity will be holiday style on 80-10 meters using mostly SSB and various Digital modes. 

F – (EU-065). Operators Dick/F6DXE, Andy/F4ELK and Tartuff/F4ELI will be active as TM5Q from Quйmйnйs Island (DIFM AT-039) between September 30th and October 2nd. Activity will be on 40/20/15/10 meters using CW, SSB and the Digital modes.

G - M0SFT, M0TGN and M0TTE will be active as MX0WCB from St Martin's Island (EU-011) on 11-17 September. They will operate mainly QRP on 40, 20, 17, 15 and 10 metres.

I - Guenter, DL3NBI will be active as IA5/DL3NBI from Isola del Giglio (EU-028, IIA GR-002) on 14-22 September. He plans to  operate  PSK,  RTTY and SSB mainly on 20 metres.

I - Look for IP1/IQ1SP (on the HF bands, SSB  and  CW)  and  IP1/IK1WVR (on 6 and 2 metres SSB) to be active from Tino Island (EU-083,  IIA SP-002) on 16-18 September. The special permission granted  by  theItalian Navy is for activities to take place only from 8 to 14  UTC each day.

JW - Morten, LA9DFA will be active as JW9DFA from Spitsbergen (EU-026) on 14-19 September. He will be QRV on the HF bands and possibly 6m using mainly CW, with some RTTY and SSB. He will participate in the Scandinavian Activity Contest CW (17-18 September) as JW3C.

JW -Karl, LA8DW, will be active once again as JW8DW from Svalbard (EU-026) between September 28th and October 5th. Bands and modes of activity were not provided.

OZ  - Bernd, DL8AAV will be active as OZ0AV from  Laeso  Island  (EU-088) on 12-24 September.

PA – (EU-146) Gerard/PD2GCM and guest operator Bertus/PD2GJS will activate the special callsign PD04ISLE starting May 1st, to commemorate the 4th anniversary of the Isle of Tiengemeten, a nature island. It is the last surviving island in the southwest part of the Netherlands as a unique nature reserve. The activation will be continued throughout 2011 until December 31st.

SV9 - Ron, WB2GAI will be active as SV9/WB2GAI/p from Chania, crete (EU-015) from 29 August to 30 September. He will operate  CW on 80-10 metres.

SV9 - Christo, LZ3FN, will be active as SV9/LZ3FN from Crete (EU-015, GIOTA KRS-005, MIA MGC-005, WLOTA 1400) between September 15-24th. Activity will be on all bands using CW and SSB.

TK - Operators Patrice/F5RBB and his XYL Mireille/F4FRL will be active as TK/homecall from Corsica between September 10-24th. Activity will be on 40-10 meters using SSB and the Digital modes.

TOURS

SOUTH PACIFIC TOUR

Pista, HA5AO and George, HA5UK will be active from Fiji (requested call 3D2UK), Tuvalu (requested call T2HA), Western Kiribati(requested call T30HA)  and possibly Banaba (requested call T33HA) between 1 October  and  15 November.  They will operate CW, SSB and RTTY with two stations on 160-10 metres.
